A RESOLUTION
Commending the Seminole County Youth Poll Worker Initiative; and for other purposes.1
WHEREAS, the Seminole County Youth Poll Worker Initiative, in p artnership with2
Seminole County Middle High School, is an innovative initiative that gives students hands3
on exercise in civics and government as well as valuable experi ence and understanding of4
our election and polling systems; and5
WHEREAS, student volunteers participated in the same training a s poll worker staff,6
becoming certified and working alongside regular poll workers, while exhibiting the highest7
degree of professionalism throughout 19 days of Advanced In Person and election day poll8
work; and9
WHEREAS, the exemplary team of volunteer students includes Chri stian Albritton,10
Mackenzie Brown, Courtney Cannon, Marianna Christian, Jada Coachman, Jayla Coachman,11
Emma Godby, Jolie Grand, Ven’teria McLeroy, Milan Richardson, and Ava Thompson; and12
WHEREAS, the success of the Seminole County Youth Poll Worker I nitiative was made13
possible by the passionate leadership of Elections Supervisor Ronald D. Foskey, Elections14

Clerk Michael Rogerson, Principal Mary Jean Albritton, and Social Studies Teacher Peggy15
Thompson; and16
WHEREAS, the Seminole County Youth Poll Worker Initiative repre sents innovation,17
collaboration, and a strong sense of public service, serving as a model of active citizenship18
and student leadership.19
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that20
the members of this body commend the Seminole County Youth Poll Worker Initiative for21
its exemplary, dedicated, and positive contributions to civic learning.22
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized23
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the24
Seminole County Youth Poll Worker Initiative.25
