26 LC 129 0585 House Resolution 1014 By: Representatives Williams of the 168th, DeLoach of the 167th, and Hugley of the 141st A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Bishop Dr. Eddie Lee Stevens; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Bishop Dr. Eddie Lee Stevens has demonstrated his commitment to teaching2 the Gospel, witnessing Christ through word and deed, and addres sing the physical,3 psychological, intellectual, and spiritual needs of others; and4 WHEREAS, Bishop Dr. Eddie Lee Stevens has spent a lifetime answering God's call to be5 His messenger to do His will; and6 WHEREAS, his vision and direction have helped several churches grow in size and7 influence, uplifting the community like the light of Bethlehem and serving as a spiritual8 leader and place for fellowship; and9 WHEREAS, whether the task is preparing a sermon, visiting the s ick, counseling the10 troubled, baptizing a new believer, or acting as a theologian, educator, administrator, or11 humanitarian, Bishop Dr. Eddie Lee Stevens serves as a shining example of God's righteous12 path; and13 H. R. 1014 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0585 WHEREAS, the unmatched spiritual assistance offered by Bishop Dr. Eddie Lee Stevens is14 a source of strength and direction for persons in all walks of life; and15 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper recognize the outstanding accomplishments16 of the dynamic Christian ministry of this devout and pious man.17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that18 the members of this body recognize and commend Bishop Dr. Eddie Lee Stevens for his19 innumerable good works rendered on behalf of persons in need.20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized21 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to22 Bishop Dr. Eddie Lee Stevens.23 H.
