26 LC 129 0569 House Resolution 1026 By: Representatives Carter of the 93rd, Bazemore of the 69th, Crawford of the 89th, Hugley of the 141st, and Mitchell of the 88th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending The dReam Center Church of Atlanta on the occasion of its1 20th anniversary; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the seeds which were sown by the loving and humble efforts of Pastor William3 H. Murphy, his wife, Pastor Danielle Murphy, and the devoted original worshipers of The4 dReam Center Church of Atlanta have blossomed, establishing a rich tradition and history;5 and6 WHEREAS, organized in 2005, The dReam Center Church of Atlanta has grown over the7 years, allowing the Word of God to spread throughout the community; and8 WHEREAS, the first official service of The dReam Center Church of Atlanta was held on9 Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday, to a standing room only audience; and10 WHEREAS, the congregation of this church has compiled an unpara lleled record of11 constructive, compassionate, and humanitarian service which it demonstrates daily through12 open minds, open hearts, and open doors; and13 H. R. 1026 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0569 WHEREAS, the members of The dReam Center Church of Atlanta have a sincere desire to14 serve the Lord and are wholeheartedly committed to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ; and15 WHEREAS, the story of The dReam Center Church of Atlanta is one of triumph through the16 grace and sustaining power of God, and it stands as an immovable witness to the truth that17 God keeps His promise; and18 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this enduring example of God's message19 of peace and love be recognized and congratulated for its innumerable good works rendered20 on behalf of persons in need.21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that22 the members of this body recognize the rich history of The dReam Center Church of Atlanta,23 commend its 20 years of dedicated service to the Lord and commu nity, and extend their24 warmest best wishes for its continued growth and success.25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized26 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to The27 dReam Center Church of Atlanta.28 H.
