26 LC 33 9850 House Bill 976 By: Representatives Burns of the 159th, Jones of the 47th, Efstration of the 104th, and Hatchett of the 155th A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT To amend an Act making and providing appropriations for the State Fiscal Year beginning1 July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2026, known as the "General Appropriations Act," Act No.2 73, approved May 9, 2025, so as to make, provide, and change certain appropriations for the3 operation of the state government and its departments, boards, bureaus, commissions,4 institutions, and other agencies, for the university system, co mmon schools, counties,5 municipalities, and political subdivisions, for all other governmental activities, projects, and6 undertakings authorized by law, and for all leases, contracts, agreements, and grants7 authorized by law; to provide for the control and administratio n of funds; to provide an8 effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.9 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:10 PART I11 An Act making and providing appropriations for the State Fiscal Year beginning July 1,12 2025, and ending June 30, 2026, known as the "General Appropriations Act," Act No. 73,13 approved May 9, 2025, is amended by striking everything following the Part I designation14 up to but not including the Part II designation and by substitu ting in lieu thereof the15 following:16 H. B. 976 - 1 - 26 LC 33 9850 "The sums of money hereinafter provided are appropriated for the State Fiscal Year17 beginning July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2026, as prescribed hereinafter for such fiscal18 year:"19 PART II20 This Act shall become effective upon its approval by the Governor or upon its becoming law21 without such approval.22 PART III23 All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.24 H.
