A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
To amend Article 1 of Chapter 3 of Title 12 of the Official Cod e of Georgia Annotated,1
relating to general provisions regarding parks, historic areas, memorials, and recreation, so2
as to provide for free admission to state parks on certain public and legal holidays; to provide3
for a definition; to provide for related matters; to repeal con flicting laws; and for other4
purposes.5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:6
SECTION 1.7
Article 1 of Chapter 3 of Title 12 of the Official Code of Geor gia Annotated, relating to8
general provisions regarding parks, historic areas, memorials, and recreation, is amended by9
adding a new Code section to read as follows:10
"12-3-9.2.11
(a) As used in this Code section, the term 'fee' means the charge or fee established by the12
Board of Natural Resources for the use or occupancy of any stat e park, historic site, or13
recreational area.14

(b) No fee shall be charged to any resident of this state for admission to any state park,15
historic site, or recreational area on any public and legal hol iday provided for by Code16
Section 1-4-1."17
SECTION 2.18
All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.19
