26 LC 129 0643 House Resolution 1034 By: Representatives Corbett of the 174th and Burchett of the 176th A RESOLUTION Honoring the life of Reba Highsmith Crews; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Reba Highsmith Crews lived a life defined by compassion, generosity, integrity,2 and unwavering devotion to her family, friends, and community; and most importantly to her3 Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; and4 WHEREAS, Mrs. Crews dedicated at least 50 years of Service to the Brantley County Tax5 Commissioners office and to the citizens of Brantley County; and6 WHEREAS, Mrs. Crews faithfully served four separate Tax Commiss ioners, C.L. King,7 Lorena Strickland, Lorna Thomas, and Current Tax Commissioner Pat Tompkins; and8 WHEREAS, through her steadfast character and commitment to upli fting others, Reba9 became a source of strength, encouragement, and inspiration to all who had the privilege of10 knowing her; and11 WHEREAS, her contributions-both seen and unseen-helped shape the lives around her with12 kindness, wisdom, and a gentle spirit that remained constant throughout her journey; and13 H. R. 1034 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0643 WHEREAS, her legacy will continue to shine through the countles s acts of love she14 extended, the values she instilled, and the memories she leaves behind; and 15 WHEREAS, her memory will endure in the hearts of those she touched, and her example of16 strength, grace, and compassion shall continue to guide and inspire future generations.17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that18 the members of this body honor and celebrate the life of Reba Highsmith Crews, recognizing19 her lasting impact and expressing our profound gratitude for the light she brought into the20 world.21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized22 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the23 family of Reba Highsmith Crews.24 H.
