26 LC 129 0551 House Resolution 1039 By: Representatives Flournoy of the 74th, Douglas of the 78th, Burnough of the 77th, and Scott of the 76th A RESOLUTION Congratulating the Lovejoy High School Varsity Game Day Cheerleaders for winning the1 2025 GHSA 5A Game Day State Cheerleading Championship Competiti on; and for other2 purposes.3 WHEREAS, the Lovejoy High School Varsity Game Day Cheerleaders have established and4 maintained a proud tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics;5 and6 WHEREAS, this superlative team has completed its triumphant season by winning the 20257 GHSA 5A Game Day State Cheerleading Championship Competition; and8 WHEREAS, through their extraordinary efforts, this dynamic team, comprised of Seniors,9 Hannah Best, Jennifer Darko, Asia Evans, Ce’ Maya Hardy, Jayden Henderson, Ny’Zhirah10 Loyal, Jackson Lundy, and Kimora Timothy; Juniors, Amiyah Cotton- Levy, N’Kyrah Dious,11 Trinity Dunn, Latrell Prowell, and Morgan Woods; Sophomores, Amirah Beasley, Khloe’12 Harrison, Alexis Hayes, Chloe’ Heard, Imani Neeson, Aniyah Nich olson, Ayonna Vallot,13 and Ke’Ari Warren; and Freshman, Elle Carter, Kaiden Duncan, Ka miyah Ferguson,14 Tay’Lour Mickens, and Londyn White; has had an undefeated seaso n, led by Head15 H. R. 1039 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0551 Cheerleading Coach and Program Director Megan Washington and Assistant Cheerleading16 Coach Kalvin Montgomery; and17 WHEREAS, their accomplishment of winning all of their regular s eason competitions,18 advancing to state finals, and becoming the 2025 GHSA 5A Game D ay Cheerleading19 Champions-the first GHSA state cheerleading championship title for Clayton County Public20 Schools-was achieved through their hard work, dedication, commitment, and countless hours21 of practice; and22 WHEREAS, as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by23 performing with courage and precision over months of training a nd competition, it is24 abundantly proper to call them champions.25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that26 the members of this body congratulate the Lovejoy High School V arsity Game Day27 Cheerleaders for winning the 2025 GHSA 5A Game Day State Cheerleading Championship28 Competition and extend best wishes for their continued success.29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized30 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the31 Lovejoy High School Varsity Game Day Cheerleaders.32 H.
