26 LC 129 0522 Senate Resolution 583 By: Senators Bearden of the 30th and Brass of the 6th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Zaida Bustamante; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Zaida Bustamante has established a glowing reputation of renown throughout2 Georgia for her dedication, perseverance, discipline, and strong commitment to family and3 personal advancement; and 4 WHEREAS, a first-generation college graduate and nontraditional student, Zaida5 Bustamante, steadfastly pursued higher education while working full-time and raising three6 children; and 7 WHEREAS, preparing for leadership in Georgia’s construction and infrastructure industry,8 she earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management fro m Kennesaw State9 University’s College of Architecture and Construction Management; and10 WHEREAS, Zaida Bustamante served as President of the Associated General Contractors11 Student Chapter, providing leadership in professional developme nt, industry engagement,12 and student mentorship; and 13 S. R. 583 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0522 WHEREAS, as the Treasurer of Kennesaw Women in Construction, she supported initiatives14 that promote inclusion, leadership development, and workforce d iversity within the15 construction industry; and16 WHEREAS, Zaida Bustamante is committed to continued professiona l and community17 engagement through ongoing involvement with Kennesaw Women in C onstruction and18 anticipated participation in National Women in Construction; and 19 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this20 extraordinary Georgian be appropriately honored. 21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body22 commend and recognize Zaida Bustamante for her many valuable contributions on behalf of23 the citizens of Georgia and extend best wishes for her future.24 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed25 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Zaida Bustamante.26 S.
