26 LC 129 0591 House Resolution 1035 By: Representatives Sharper of the 177th and Bell of the 75th A RESOLUTION Honoring the life and legacy of Naomie Delva; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens2 with the passing of Naomie Delva on January 5,2026; and3 WHEREAS, Naomie Delva was a woman of vision, character, and purpose whose life was4 marked by service, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to uplifting others; and5 WHEREAS, throughout her life, Naomie Delva exemplified excellence in entrepreneurship,6 community development, and mentorship, using her gifts and talents to empower individuals,7 families, and small businesses; and8 WHEREAS, she was widely respected for her integrity, compassion, and work ethic, and she9 consistently sought to create opportunities for economic growth , education, and positive10 social impact; and11 WHEREAS, Naomie Delva’s influence extended far beyond her profe ssional12 accomplishments, as she was a source of encouragement, wisdom, and inspiration to13 colleagues, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her; and14 H. R. 1035 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0591 WHEREAS, her legacy will continue to live on through the lives she touched, the initiatives15 she helped build, and the enduring example she set of faith, perseverance, and service; and16 WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Georgia House of Rep resentatives pause to17 recognize and honor the life of this remarkable individual and to extend heartfelt sympathy18 to her family, loved ones, and all who mourn her passing.19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that20 the members of this body honor the life, achievements, and lasting legacy on Naomie Delva21 as well as commend her memory to be cherished by all who were inspired by her life.22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized23 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the24 family of Naomie Delva.25 H.
