A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Danah Craft on her outstanding publi c service as the1
executive director of Feeding Georgia; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, Danah Craft has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital3
role that she has played in leadership and her deep personal co mmitment to the welfare of4
the citizens of Georgia; and5
WHEREAS, she has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time,6
talents, and energy toward the betterment of her community and state as evidenced7
dramatically by her superlative 15 years of service with Feeding Georgia; and8
WHEREAS, prior to leading Feeding Georgia, Danah had a successful career lobbying at the9
state and federal level, passionately crafting solutions that make life better for everyone in10
Georgia; and11
WHEREAS, Danah's significant organizational and leadership talents, remarkable patience12
and diplomacy, keen sense of vision, and sensitivity to the needs of the citizens of this state13
have earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and associates; and14

WHEREAS, this distinguished gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high15
ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens, and she possesses the vast wisdom16
which only comes through experience and the strength of charact er which is achieved17
through overcoming the many challenges of life; and18
WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for19
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and20
WHEREAS, Danah has served with honor and distinction, and her v ision and unyielding21
commitment to Feeding Georgia will be sorely missed upon the occasion of her retirement;22
and23
WHEREAS, in her retirement, Danah continues to serve her commun ity as a longtime24
mentor in Georgia State University's Women Lead program, a member of the Women Lead25
Advisory Council, and as board chair with Cultured Ag; and 26
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this27
remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.28
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body29
recognize and commend Danah Craft for her efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated30
public service to the State of Georgia, congratulate her upon t he grand occasion of her31
retirement, and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.32
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed33
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution Danah Craft.34
