A RESOLUTION
Recognizing January 27, 2026, as Gwinnett Chamber Day at the state capitol; and for other1
purposes.2
WHEREAS, established in 1947, the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce has championed and3
served businesses for over seven decades; and4
WHEREAS, the Gwinnett Chamber will celebrate its 78th Annual Dinner, honoring leaders5
in Gwinnett, including John Michael Levengood, Majority Leader Chuck Efstration, Lanier6
Levett, Joy Mitchell, Ginger Powell, and Jim Brooks; and7
WHEREAS, the chamber currently serves over 2,200 members, repre sents over 22,0008
businesses, and supports 10,000 sole proprietors in Gwinnett County; and9
WHEREAS, the Gwinnett Chamber, recognized among Georgia's premi er business10
organizations, earned a renewed five-year certification from th e Georgia Association of11
Chamber of Commerce Executives; and12
WHEREAS, Gwinnett is home to nearly 600 international businesses, the most of any county13
in the Southeast United States, and continues to attract global economic investment; and14

WHEREAS, Partnership Gwinne tt supported over $343 million in ca pital investment,15
generating 1,100 new jobs and retaining 1,300 jobs this past year; and16
WHEREAS, under the guidance of its current leadership, including President and CEO Nick17
Masino, Chair Kim Hartsock, past Chair Brad Carr, Chair Elect Matt Hyatt, and Chair of the18
Public Policy Advisory Committee Trey Ragsdale, the Gwinnett Ch amber of Commerce19
continues to exemplify excellence in fostering economic growth and advocating for the20
business community; and 21
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this22
extraordinary chamber be appropriately recognized.23
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that24
the members of this body recognize January 27, 2026, as Gwinnett Chamber Day at the state25
capitol and extend best wishes for the continued growth, develo pment, and success of the26
Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce.27
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized28
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the29
Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce.30
