26 LC 129 0541 House Resolution 1093 By: Representatives Hong of the 103rd, Reeves of the 99th, Donatucci of the 105th, Park of the 107th, and Hilton of the 48th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending The Korean-American School of Atlant a; and for other1 purposes.2 WHEREAS, established in 1981, the Korean-American School of Atl anta (KASA) is3 dedicated to teaching students Korean language, culture, and history; and4 WHEREAS, guided by the principles of honesty, diligence, and integrity, KASA has fostered5 pride in Korean heritage, creativity and a pioneering spirit, as well as a broader citizenry that6 actively participates in and contributes to the development of society; and7 WHEREAS, under the skillfully guided hand of Principal Shim Jun-hee, and with the support8 of the Board of Trustees, the dedicated lives of the staff, the passionate parents who willingly9 sacrifice for their children, and the students who diligently study with a passion for learning10 KASA has gown into a renowned cultural and educational institut ion, solidifying the11 identities of Korean Americans in the State of Georgia; and12 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this13 extraordinary educational institution be appropriately recognized.14 H. R. 1093 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0541 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that15 the members of this body recognize The Korean-American School of Atlanta, commend it16 for its many outstanding contributions on behalf of the citizens of Georgia, and extend best17 wishes for its continued growth, development, and success.18 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized19 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to The20 Korean-American School of Atlanta.21 H.
