Stallion Sr. a nd First Lady Tammy1 Stallion of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church upon ten years of service; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, Reverend Dr. David L. Stallion Sr. has demonstrated hi s commitment to3 teaching the Gospel, witnessing Christ through word and deed, and addressing the physical,4 psychological, intellectual, and spiritual needs of others; and5 WHEREAS, First Lady Tammy Stallion faithfully supports the cong regation by teaching6 Sunday school as well as working in administration and new memb er orientation,7 demonstrating that ministry is truly is a shared endeavor; and8 WHEREAS, at the 10th Year Anniversary Gala, on January 16, 2026, Reverend Dr. David9 L. Stallion Sr. will celebrate the 10th anniversary of his call to serve as pastor of Mount10 Pilgrim Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia; and11 WHEREAS, his vision and direction have helped Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church grow in size12 and influence, uplifting the community like the light of Bethlehem and serving as a spiritual13 leader and place for fellowship; and14 H. R. 1057 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0565 WHEREAS, over the past decade leading Mount Pilgrim Baptist Chu rch, Reverend Dr.15 David L. Stallion Sr. has established numerous programs and wor kshops which have16 improved the spiritual and educational growth of the church and the surrounding community;17 and18 WHEREAS, whether the task is preparing a sermon, visiting the s ick, counseling the19 troubled, baptizing a new believer, or acting as a theologian, educator, administrator, or20 humanitarian, Reverend Dr. David L. Stallion Sr. has shown the energy, devotion, and21 commitment truly reflective of divine guidance; and22 WHEREAS, the unmatched spiritual assistance offered by Reverend Dr. David L. Stallion23 Sr. and First Lady Tammy Stallion are a source of strength and direction for persons in all24 walks of life; and25 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper to recognize the outstanding accomplishments26 of the dynamic Christian ministry of this devout and pious family.27 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that28 the members of this body recognize Reverend Dr. David L. Stalli on Sr. on the wonderful29 occasion of his 10th pastoral anniversary; commend First Lady Tammy Stallion for her care,30 devotion, and passion to uplift the word of God; and extend best wishes for many more years31 of successful fellowship and leadership.32 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized33 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the34 Stallions.35 H.
