26 LC 129 0659 House Resolution 1068 By: Representatives Reeves of the 99th and Martinez of the 111th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Shen Yun Performing Arts; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Shen Yun Performing Arts, founded in 2006, is dedicate d to reviving and2 sharing the essence of 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture through classical Chinese3 dance, music, and artistry; and4 WHEREAS, Shen Yun’s breathtaking performances feature world-class dancers, musicians,5 and vocalists who bring to life ancient legends, historical tales, and timeless spiritual values,6 captivating audiences worldwide; and7 WHEREAS, the company has enriched communities across Georgia with its annual tours,8 including performances in Atlanta and other cities, fostering c ultural appreciation, artistic9 excellence, and cross-cultural understanding among Georgians of all backgrounds; and10 WHEREAS, Shen Yun will perform at the Cobb Energy Performing Ar ts Centre from11 January 27 to February 1, 2026; and12 WHEREAS, Shen Yun promotes universal themes of hope, courage, m oral integrity, and13 harmony that resonate deeply with the values cherished by the people of Georgia; and14 H. R. 1068 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0659 WHEREAS, the return of Shen Yun to Georgia stages offers reside nts an inspiring15 oppurtunity to experiance the beauty of traditional Chinese heritage in a modern, world-class16 production.17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that18 the members of this body recognize and commend Shen Yun Performing Arts for preserving19 the musical, historical, and artistic values of traditional Chi nese culture in the state of20 Georgia.21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized22 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Shen23 Yun Performing Arts.24 H.
