26 LC 129 0531 Senate Resolution 616 By: Senators Wicks of the 34th and Harbin of the 16th A RESOLUTION Recognizing February 10, 2026, as Fayette Chamber Day at the Capitol in conjunction with1 the Fayette Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Fayette program; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, started by the Fayette Chamber of Commerce in 1980, Le adership Fayette3 strives to empower and encourage a diverse group of existing and emerging leaders that are4 prepared and committed to serving Fayette County; and5 WHEREAS, Leadership Fayette is a hands-on program that provides opportunities for6 individuals to enhance their civic knowledge of Fayette County, hone their leadership skills,7 and network with leaders across the community; and8 WHEREAS, through Leadership Fayette participants gain an in-depth view of critical issues9 facing thier community; personal leadership skills, awareness, and development; access to10 opportunities for community involvement; opportunities to discu ss key issues with11 community leaders; as well as new, strengthened relationships with peers; and12 WHEREAS, on February 10, 2026, participants in the Leadership Fayette program will visit13 to the Georgia State Capitol to learn about the legislative pro cess and engage with state14 leaders; and15 S. R. 616 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0531 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this outstanding program is appropriately16 honored.17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body18 recognize February 10, 2026, as Fayette Chamber Day at the Capitol in conjunction with the19 Fayette Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Fayette program.20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed21 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for di stribution to Leadership22 Fayette.23 S.
