A RESOLUTION
Recognizing January and August 2026 as Neurotherapy Month; and for other purposes.1
WHEREAS, neurotherapy, including modalities such as biofeedback , neurofeedback,2
quantitative electroencephalography (qEEG), and psychophysiolog ical assessments,3
constitutes a scientifically grounded, non-invasive, and drug-f ree approach to supporting4
mental, emotional, cognitive, and neurological health; and5
WHEREAS, biofeedback and neurofeedback are evidence-based modalities recognized by6
the American Psychological Association (APA), the Association f or Applied7
Psychophysiology and Biofeedback (AAPB), and the International Society for8
Neuroregulation & Research (ISNR) with clinical applications fo r anxiety, depression,9
ADHD, PTSD, traumatic brain injury, sleep disorders, substance use, epilepsy, learning10
disabilities, and more; and11
WHEREAS, thousands of Georgians, particularly veterans, childre n, adolescents, and12
individuals with neurological or emotional disorders, stand to benefit from increased access13
to neurotherapy and neuroregulation services that support nervo us system resilience and14
self-regulation; and15

WHEREAS, neurotherapy can help optimize both sports performance and leadership16
capabilities, with varied effectiveness between individuals and contexts; and17
WHEREAS, neurotherapy training helps athletes regulate their br ain activity to improve18
focus, reduce anxiety, and more consistently enter flow states; and19
WHEREAS, top athletes such as Olympic shooters, elite gymnasts, and even NFL teams20
have used neurofeedback for peak mental performance; and21
WHEREAS, in leadership and executive performance, neurotherapy can sharpen cognitive22
and emotional skills that are key to effective decision-making, executive function, creative23
thinking, and interpersonal effectiveness; and24
WHEREAS, Georgia is home to a growing network of interdisciplin ary clinics, licensed25
mental health professionals, certified neurofeedback providers, and academic researchers26
advancing the field of psychophysiology and integrative neurotherapy; and27
WHEREAS, neurotherapy is particularly impactful in underserved and rural communities28
where access to psychiatric medications or traditional mental health services may be limited,29
offering a safe, cost-effective complement or alternative to conventional approaches; and30
WHEREAS, promoting Neurotherapy Month during August and January serves to raise31
awareness, encourage preventative and rehabilitative brain heal th practices, and support32
ongoing discussions around integrative, data-driven, and accessible mental health care.33

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that34
the members of this body recognize January and August 2026 are recognized as35
Neurotherapy Month.36
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized37
and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution avai lable for distribution to the38
public and the press.39
