26 LC 129 0711 House Resolution 1102 By: Representative Smith of the 18th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Taylor Griffin; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Taylor Griffin is a highly praised kindergarten teacher at Carrollton Elementary2 School, tirelessly directing an extraordinary amount of time an d talent toward guiding3 students to a brighter future; and4 WHEREAS, her dedication extends far beyond the classroom, as Ta ylor Griffin has been5 named the program director and head football and competition ch eerleading coach for the6 Carrollton High School Trojans; and7 WHEREAS, Taylor Griffin, a third-generation Trojan cheerleader and 2015 Carrollton High8 School graduate, was named the Georgia Cheerleading Coaches Association runner-up for9 Cheerleader of the Year in 2014 and was a member of the Trojans' 2011 state championship10 team; and11 WHEREAS, in addition to her successful high school cheerleading career, Taylor Griffin has12 coached with the Trojans cheerleading program as a community coach for middle school and13 junior varsity teams since 2018 as well served as head coach of cheerleading and gymnastics14 programs at Bremen High School from 2022-2025; and15 H. R. 1102 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0711 WHEREAS, while at Bremen High School, her cheer teams won the 1 A Division 2 state16 championship in 2024, and her gymnastics teams placed second in Class 1-4A in 2023 as17 well as 2025; and18 WHEREAS, during the 2025 fall season, Taylor Griffin assisted Carrollton's cheer program19 under Coach Kelsey Shannon, helping the Trojans earn top-six finishes in both competition20 and gameday cheer; and21 WHEREAS, Taylor Griffin is a life-long Trojan cheerleader with an unwavering dedication22 to student success, mentorship, and giving back to the community.23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that24 the members of this body recognize and commend Taylor Griffin for her steadfast support25 of student athletes and extend sincere best wishes for her continued health, happiness, and26 success.27 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized28 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to29 Taylor Griffin.30 H.
