26 LC 129 0581 Senate Resolution 611 By: Senators Walker III of the 20th, Kirkpatrick of the 32nd, Watson of the 1st, Cowsert of the 46th and Albers of the 56th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending the Georgia Association of Community Care Providers; and1 for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Georgia Association of Community Care Providers (G ACCP) represents3 home and community-based service providers across the State of Georgia who deliver4 compassionate, high-quality care to individuals with disabiliti es, complex care needs, and5 aging populations; and6 WHEREAS, GACCP member providers deliver essential services through Medicaid waiver7 programs including, but not limited to, the ICWP, EDWP, NOW, an d COMP waivers,8 allowing individuals to receive personalized care in their homes and communities rather than9 in institutional settings; and10 WHEREAS, these providers serve communities throughout Georgia, with a significant11 number operating in underserved and rural areas where access to care is limited and12 community-based providers are often the primary source of suppo rt for individuals and13 families; and14 S. R. 611 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0581 WHEREAS, home and community-based services promote independence , dignity, and15 quality of life by empowering individuals to remain connected t o their families,16 neighborhoods, and communities while receiving the care they need.17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body18 recognize and commend the Georgia Association of Community Care Providers and extend19 best wishes for continued growth and success.20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed21 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for di stribution to the Georgia22 Association of Community Care Providers.23 S.
