26 LC 129 0548 Senate Resolution 615 By: Senators Wicks of the 34th, Jones II of the 22nd, Rhett of the 33rd, Harbison of the 15th, Jones of the 10th and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Dr. Jackson Drumgoole II; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Dr. Jackson Drumgoole II is a distinguished social entrepreneur, thought leader,2 and community change agent who has tirelessly impacted the live s of countless fathers3 though his extensive repertoire of articles, conferences, books, and coaching sessions; and4 WHEREAS, a seasoned 29-year United States Army veteran, author, speaker, university5 professor, and life coach, Dr. Drumgoole’s remarkable journey h as been marked with6 significant accolades including the prestigious All Star Dad of t h e Y e a r A w a r d f o r h i s7 exceptional work with military fathers during multiple deployments to Iraq; and8 WHEREAS, Dr. Drumgoole’s seminal work, They Call Me Daddy: A Diary of a9 Dysfunctional Father, where he candidly shared his own journey in fatherhood, has ignited10 a powerful community response and left a lasting impact on readers; and11 WHEREAS, Dr. Drumgoole is the visionary behind the acclaimed Fa thering for Effect12 program as well as serves as the founder and executive director of Bridge Builder13 Communities, an initiative committed to providing safe, afforda ble housing and life skills14 training to youth aging out of the foster care system; and15 S. R. 615 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0548 WHEREAS, he has given inspiration to many through his high idea ls, morals, and deep16 concern for his fellow citizens, and he possesses the vast wisdom which only comes through17 experience and the strength of character which is achieved thro ugh overcoming the many18 challenges of life; and19 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this20 remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body22 recognize and commend Dr. Jackson Drumgoole II for his dedicated community service and23 extend their sincere best wishes for his continued health, happiness, and success.24 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed25 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for di stribution to Dr. Jackson26 Drumgoole II.27 S.
