26 LC 129 0619 House Resolution 1062 By: Representatives Ali of the 106 th, Tran of the 80 th, Draper of the 90 th, Lim of the 98 th, Romman of the 97th, and others A RESOLUTION Honoring the life, legacy, and professional contributions of An ne Isenhower and1 commemorating the memory of her son, Max Podowitz; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of two of its most distinguished citizens3 with the passing of Anne Isenhower on January 1, 2026, and her son Max Podowitz in4 December 2025; and5 WHEREAS, Anne Isenhower of Atlanta, Georgia, was a respected and accomplished public6 relations professional, known for her generosity, global network, and enduring commitment7 to building and sustaining meaningful personal and professional relationships; and8 WHEREAS, Anne Isenhower earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North9 Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1990 and devoted her career to commu nications and media10 relations, serving in roles at the Atlanta History Center, SciTrek, and the Atlanta Committee11 for the Olympic Games, among other institutions; and12 WHEREAS, Ms. Isenhower's professional expertise extended to national and international13 work, including public relations roles with FleishmanHillard, the American Cancer Society,14 and Golin; and in 2011 she founded her own firm to provide stra tegic communications15 H. R. 1062 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0619 support to prominent clients such as Rotary International, Deloitte, and the Task Force for16 Public Health; and17 WHEREAS, throughout her career Ms. Isenhower was recognized for her ability to connect18 journalists with credible sources, her dedication to her client s, and her personal warmth,19 which earned her the admiration of colleagues and friends alike; and20 WHEREAS, beyond her professional accomplishments, Ms. Isenhower w a s a d e v o t e d21 mother, teaching civic engagement and the importance of contrib uting to community and22 democratic life; and23 WHEREAS, Anne Isenhower's son, Max Podowitz, was her only child and treasured24 companion, known by those who loved him as gentle, thoughtful, smart, and kind; and25 WHEREAS, Max Podowitz was an 18-year-old freshman at New York U niversity whose26 unexpected death in December 2025 brought deep sorrow to his family and friends; and27 WHEREAS, the profound bond between mother and son was well know n among their28 community, reflecting shared values of compassion, engagement, and intellectual curiosity;29 and30 WHEREAS, the passing of Anne Isenhower on January 1, 2026, and her son Max have left31 a lasting impact on all who knew them, and their memories deserve enduring recognition by32 the State of Georgia.33 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that34 the members of this body honor the life and legacy of Anne Isen hower, commend her35 H. R. 1062 - 2 - 26 LC 129 0619 professional achievements and personal generosity, as well as extend deepest sympathy on36 the passing of her son, Max Podowitz.37 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized38 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the39 family of Anne Isenhower and Max Podowitz.40 H.
