26 LC 129 0607 Senate Resolution 612 By: Senators Wicks of the 34th, Davenport of the 17th, Harrell of the 40th, James of the 28th and Parent of the 44th A RESOLUTION Congratulating and commending Gail B. Hambrick for receiving th e 2026 Yellow Rose1 Nikki T. Randall Servant Leadership Award; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, in 1999, Representative Nikki T. Randall became the fi rst African American3 female elected to the General Assembly from middle Georgia, and over her 17 years of4 service as a legislator, she held numerous leadership positions, including chair of the Georgia5 Women's Legislative Caucus; and6 WHEREAS, every year during Women's History Month, the Georgia Women's Legislative7 Caucus recognizes outstanding women in Georgia who exemplify th e leadership and8 inspiration embodied by Representative Randall; and9 WHEREAS, Gail B. Hambrick is a respected public servant and community centered leader10 currently serving as Clayton County Commissioner for District 2; and 11 WHEREAS, a proud Clayton County resident for more than 30 years , she remains deeply12 rooted in the communities she serves, tirelessly advancing initiatives that strengthen public13 safety, infrastructure, and community engagement; and14 S. Hambrick is a woman of unassuming greatness whose humble acts of15 kindness and generosity have uplifted and improved the entire Clayton County community;16 and17 WHEREAS, Gail B. Hambrick has established a glowing reputation of renown throughout18 Georgia for her energy, devotion, and commitment to public safe ty, education, youth19 services, and recreation in Clayton County; and20 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this21 extraordinary servant leader be appropriately recognized.22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body23 congratulate and commend Gail B. Hambrick for receiving the 2026 Yellow Rose Nikki T.24 Randall Servant Leadership Award and extend best wishes for her continued success.25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed26 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Gail B.
