26 LC 112 3703 House Resolution 1086 By: Representatives Cox of the 28th, Barrett of the 24th, Jasperse of the 11th, McDonald III of the 26th, Jones of the 25th, and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing the West Forsyth High School Girls Tennis Team for winning the 2025 Georgia1 High School Association Class 6A State Championship; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the West Forsyth High School Girls Tennis Team represe nted West Forsyth3 High School in the 2025 Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Class 6A tennis season;4 and5 WHEREAS, the team demonstrated exceptional competitive skill, consistency, and discipline6 throughout the 2025 season and state tournament; and7 WHEREAS, at the 2025 GHSA Class 6A State Championship match, the West Forsyth Girls8 Tennis Team defeated Walton High School to secure the 2025 GHSA Class 6A State Title;9 and10 WHEREAS, this championship victory stands as a testament to the dedication of the11 student-athletes, the leadership of the coaching staff, and the strong support of the West12 Forsyth community; and13 H. R. 1086 - 1 - 26 LC 112 3703 WHEREAS, the team has brought great pride to West Forsyth High School, Forsyth County,14 and the State of Georgia through their example of sportsmanship and excellence.15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that16 the members of this body recognize and commend the West Forsyth High School Girls17 Tennis Team for winning the 2025 Georgia High School Associatio n Class 6A State18 Championship and congratulate them for their outstanding athletic achievement.19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized20 and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to West21 Forsyth High School and the West Forsyth Girls Tennis Team.22 H.
