26 LC 129 0728 House Resolution 1082 By: Representatives Cox of the 28th, McDonald III of the 26th, Jones of the 25th, Clark of the 100th, Barrett of the 24th, and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending the Lambert High School Boys Lacrosse Team for winning1 the 2025 GHSA Division III Boys Lacrosse State Championship; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Lambert High School Boys Lacrosse Team completed the 2025 season with3 a perfect 22-0 record, demonstr ating extraordinary discipline, athletic excellence, and4 unwavering teamwork throughout regular-season and post-season play; and5 WHEREAS, on May 16, 2025, at Denmark High School, the Longhorns captured the 20256 GHSA Division III Boys Lacrosse State Championship with a decis ive 12-0 victory over7 South Forsyth High School, earning the program its seventh state title; and8 WHEREAS, the Longhorns, guided by Director of Lacrosse Rich Wehman and Head Coach9 John Spaide, achieved a season goal differential of 317-62, a reflection of the team's balanced10 strength in offense, defense, and overall execution; and11 WHEREAS, in the championship game, senior attacker Cole Greenfield led all scorers with12 five goals, including a dominant second-quarter performance, wh ile Brooks Wehman13 contributed two goals and multiple assists, and senior goalkeeper Luke Grasso anchored the14 H. R. 1082 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0728 defense with multiple saves, securing a complete shutout in his final high school appearance;15 and16 WHEREAS, the team's success is the result of the dedication of its student-athletes, the17 strategic leadership of its coaching staff, the support of families and the school community,18 and the longstanding tradition of excellence within the Lambert lacrosse program; securing19 their seventh overall state championship; and20 WHEREAS, the achievements of the Lambert High School Boys Lacrosse Team bring honor21 to their school, their county, and the State of Georgia, making it abundantly fitting and proper22 that they be appropriately honored.23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that24 the members of this body recognize and commend the Lambert High School Boys Lacrosse25 Team, Director of Lacrosse Rich Wehman, Head Coach John Spaide, the coaching staff, and26 all participating student-athletes for winning the 2025 GHSA Di vision III State27 Championship as well as extend best wishes for continued success in all future endeavors.28 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized29 and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution avai lable for distribution to30 Lambert High School and the members of the 2025 Lambert High Sc hool Boys Lacrosse31 Team.32 H.
