A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Mike Dunham on his outstanding career with the Associated1
General Contractors of Georgia; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, Mike Dunham began his career in 1981 within the Associ ated General3
Contractors of America organization by serving in the capacity of Managing Director of the4
Northeast Louisiana Contractors Association, later becoming Exe cutive Director of the5
Northeastern Florida Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America in 1989; and6
WHEREAS, in May 1995, Mike was selected as the Chief Executive Officer of the7
Associated General Contractors of Georgia, Inc. (AGC Georgia) a nd has faithfully served8
in that role until his retirement in December 2025; and9
WHEREAS, AGC Georgia member firms perform most of the commercial construction work10
in Georgia and include more than 650 of the state's leading gen eral contractors,11
residential/light commercial builders, construction managers, d esign-builders,12
municipal-utility contractors, heavy and highway contractors, specialty contractors, service13
providers, and suppliers; and14

WHEREAS, Mike skillfully led an association comprised of this wide range of disciplines,15
excelling in overseeing operations and providing steadfast support to the membership; and16
WHEREAS, under Mike's leadership, AGC Georgia expanded member b enefits and17
resources, including the creation of a retirement savings program, establishment of the AGC18
Georgia Foundation, and growth of CompTrust AGC Mutual Captive Insurance Company;19
and 20
WHEREAS, throughout his 30-year tenure, Mike served as a regist ered lobbyist for AGC21
Georgia and as a member of the American Society of Association Executives, the Georgia22
Society of Association Executives, and the Georgia Professional Lobbyist Association; and 23
WHEREAS, Mike has generously given his time, expertise, and inf luence to advancing24
workforce development by championing efforts to introduce const ruction careers to K-1225
students, thereby forever expanding the opportunities available to future generations;26
supporting and enhancing the creation and growth of eight regio nal Skills Challenge27
competitions; serving on the Georgia Southern University Constr uction Management28
Program Industry Advisory Board; and acting as a trusted resour ce for leaders within the29
Georgia Department of Education's CTAE program and the Technica l College System of30
Georgia; and 31
WHEREAS, his tireless efforts and exemplary leadership have resulted in numerous honors32
for AGC Georgia including the AGC of America Large Chapter of the Year Award in 2007,33
2014, and 2022; decades of 100 percent participation in the AGC of America Chapter Board34
Member Challenge, being consistently recognized as contributing the highest dollar total of35
any Chapter Board in the nation; and guiding AGC Georgia members to lead all 87 chapters36
in contributions to AGC of America PAC for the past two years.37

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that38
the members of this body recognize and commend Mike Dunham for his efficient, effective,39
unselfish, and dedicated service to the Associated General Cont ractors of Georgia;40
congratulate him upon the grand occasion of his retirement; and extend the most sincere best41
wishes for continued health and happiness.42
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized43
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Mike44
Dunham.45
