26 LC 60 0242 Senate Bill 435 By: Senators Goodman of the 8th, Watson of the 11th, Anderson o f the 24th, Sims of the 12th, Summers of the 13th and others AS PASSED A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT To amend the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, so as to rename the Georgia Development1 Authority as the Georgia Agricultural Development Authority; to make conforming changes;2 to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:4 SECTION 1.5 The Official Code of Georgia Annotated, is amended by replacing "Georgia Development6 Authority" with "Georgia Agricultural Development Authority" wherever the former term7 appears in:8 (1) Code Section 2-8A-3, relating to definitions regarding the "Emerging Crops Fund9 Act";10 (2) Code Section 2-8A-5, relating to fund established;11 (3) Code Section 2-8A-6, relating to application for interest loan, maximum amount,12 maximum rate of interest, and security;13 (4) Code Section 2-8A-7, relating to repayment of interest loan;14 (5) Code Section 7-1-1001, relating to exemption for certain p ersons and entities,15 registration requirements, authorized actions of licensed mortgage lenders, and violations;16 S. B. 435 - 1 - 26 LC 60 0242 (6) Code Section 45-18-7.1, relating to employees of the Georg ia Development17 Authority;18 (7) Code Section 47-2-318, relating to membership in the retirement system of officers19 and employees of the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority, creditable service, and20 contributions;21 (8) Code Section 50-10-1, relating to short title;22 (9) Code Section 50-10-3, relating to creation of authority an d administration by23 agriculture department;24 (10) Code Section 50-10-4, relating to purpose, powers under business corporation law,25 and prohibition against loans to persons convicted of controlled substance offense;26 (11) Code Section 50-10-5, relating to powers and duties;27 (12) Code Section 50-17-21, relating to definitions regarding state financing and28 investment; and29 (13) Code Section 50-23-2, relating to legislative intent and assumption of rights, duties,30 and assets of the Georgia Development Authority.31 SECTION 2.32 All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.33 S.
