A RESOLUTION
Recognizing February as Career and Technical Education Month and February 4, 2026, as1
Georgia Career and Technical Student Organizations Day at the State Capitol; and for other2
purposes.3
WHEREAS, organizations such as CTI, DECA, ENGAGE, FBLA, FCCLA, FFA, FRC,4
HOSA, SkillsUSA, and TSA, along with career, technical, and agr icultural education,5
provide a solid establishment for the youth of America and for the future business and6
economic development in our state; and7
WHEREAS, career and technical student organizations promote occ upational excellence,8
leadership, and citizenship among their members who are preparing for the workforce and9
further education; and10
WHEREAS, career and technical student organizations in Georgia are an integral part and11
intra-curricular component for career, technical, and agricultural education programs, which12
are designed to support instructional objectives and attainment of academic and technical13
competencies; and14

WHEREAS, they provide an opportunity for students not only to g ain confidence and15
knowledge through competition, but also to become more motivate d in becoming better16
students and more productive citizens, which in turn develops school and community leaders.17
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that18
the members of this body recognize February as Career and Technical Education Month and19
February 4, 2026, as Georgia Career and Technical Student Organizations Day at the State20
Capitol.21
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized22
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the23
Georgia Department of Education.24
