26 LC 129 0604 House Resolution 1134 By: Representatives Mitchell of the 88th, Davis of the 87th, Holcomb of the 101st, Drenner of the 85th, and Barnes of the 86th A RESOLUTION Congratulating the City of Tucker upon its 10th anniversary and recognizing May 2, 2026,1 as Tucker Day at the state capitol; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, on November 3, 2015, the voters of Tucker approved to incorporate the City3 of Tucker with a 73 percent vote in favor of the incorporation; and4 WHEREAS, in March of 2016, the inaugural mayor and council were elected to serve the5 City of Tucker; and6 WHEREAS, the City of Tucker is the result of years of volunteers supporting and uplifting7 the community and residents, including those that dedicated the ir time to the pursuit of8 incorporation; and9 WHEREAS, in 2026 the City of Tucker celebrates ten years of successful governance, fiscal10 responsibility, and economic growth; and11 WHEREAS, over the past ten years, the City of Tucker has expanded and improved the level12 of service to the residents and business owners; and13 H. R. 1134 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0604 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that Tucker Day is celebrated at the state14 capitol in acknowledgment of the outstanding government and com munity in the City of15 Tucker.16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that17 the members of this body congratulate the City of Tucker upon i ts 10th anniversary, and18 recognize May 2, 2026, as Tucker Day at the state capitol.19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized20 and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution avai lable for distribution to the21 public and the press.22 H.
