26 LC 129 0732 House Resolution 1154 By: Representatives Williams of the 168th and DeLoach of the 167th A RESOLUTION Honoring the life and memory of Mrs. Geneva Wilkins Jones; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens2 with the passing of Mrs. Geneva Wilkins Jones on January 18, 2026; and3 WHEREAS, Mrs. Geneva Wilkins Jones was born on November 6, 1934, a beloved daughter4 of Josh Wilkins Sr. and Annie King Wilkins; and5 WHEREAS, a woman of deep and abiding faith, Mrs. Geneva Wilkins Jones was an active6 member of True Born Church of Christ Deliverance Center, Inc., in Riceboro, Georgia; and7 WHEREAS, she was united in love and marriage to her husband of 70 years, Randolph Jones8 Sr., and was blessed with seven remarkable children, Aundry, Randolph Jr., Deborah, Ricky,9 Danny, Vonciel, and Edward; 17 wonderful grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren; and10 WHEREAS, she gave inspiration to many through her high ideals, morals, and deep concern11 for her fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, and unders tanding she demonstrated to12 her family and friends were admired by others; and13 H. R. 1154 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0732 WHEREAS, she was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation14 for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example she made of her life,15 she made this world a better place in which to live; and16 WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous woman, Mrs. Geneva Wilkins Jones will long17 be remembered for her love of family, friendship, and community and will be missed by all18 who had the great fortune of knowing her.19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that20 the members of this body join in honoring the life and memory o f Mrs. Geneva Wilkins21 Jones and express their deepest and most sincere regret at her passing.22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized23 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the24 family of Mrs. Geneva Wilkins Jones.25 H.
