26 LC 129 0674 Senate Resolution 632 By: Senators Albers of the 56th, Kirkpatrick of the 32nd and Dickerson of the 21st A RESOLUTION Congratulating the River Ridge High School boys soccer team for winning the 2025 GHSA1 5A State Soccer Championship; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the River Ridge High School boys soccer team has established and maintained3 a proud tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics; and4 WHEREAS, excellent play, superior teamwork, and extraordinary resilience made this team5 a spectacular one to observe throughout the season, and as a fitting finale to its remarkable6 2025 campaign, the team captured back-to-back state soccer championships; and7 WHEREAS, the team brought special recognition to its school and the state of Georgia by8 winning the 2025 GHSA 5A State Soccer Championship against Sprayberry High School;9 and10 WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding11 athletic ability, dedication, hard work, and unity of purpose and spirit of each member of the12 team; its superb offensive and defensive talents; and the astute direction of Head Coach Phil13 Thomas; and14 S. R. 632 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0674 WHEREAS, as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by15 performing with courage and precision over months of training a nd competition, it is16 abundantly proper to call them champions.17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body18 congratulate the River Ridge High School boys soccer team for winning the 2025 GHSA 5A19 State Soccer Championship and extend best wishes for their continued success.20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed21 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the River Ridge22 High School boy soccer team.23 S.
