A RESOLUTION
Recognizing February 10, 2026, as Georgia Farm Bureau Federation Day at the Capitol; and1
for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, the Georgia Farm Bureau Federation was formed in 1937 as a voice for3
production agriculture in the legislative arena; and 4
WHEREAS, from its humble beginnings in Northwest Georgia, the Georgia Farm Bureau5
Federation has grown to 158 county chapters, with a current membership of over 235,000 led6
by volunteer farmer members; and7
WHEREAS, this outstanding federation of Georgia farmers has bec ome a diversified8
organization which focuses on service to its members and the im provement of Georgia9
agriculture; and 10
WHEREAS, the Georgia Farm Bureau Federation now operates companies which provide11
services to its members in areas that include advocacy, insurance, and banking; and12

WHEREAS, the Senate Agriculture and Consumer Affairs Committee has long recognized13
the Georgia Farm Bureau Federation under the dedicated leadership of its president, Mr. Tom14
McCall, as an exemplary voice of Georgia agriculture; and 15
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the Georgia Farm Bureau Federation and16
its members be appropriately recognized for their many years of dedicated service to Georgia17
agriculture.18
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body19
recognize February 10, 2026, as Georgia Farm Bureau Federation Day at the state capitol.20
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed21
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Georgia Farm22
Bureau Federation.23
