26 LC 129 0787 House Resolution 1119 By: Representatives Clark of the 100 th, Reeves of the 99 th, Hilton of the 48 th, Hong of the 103rd, and Donatucci of the 105th A RESOLUTION Honoring the life and memory of Joshua Gerard Cardiello; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens2 with the passing of Joshua Gerard Cardiello on January 5, 2026; and3 WHEREAS, Joshua Gerard Cardiello was born on March 24, 1995, a beloved son, brother,4 husband, and father; and5 WHEREAS, a man of deep and abiding faith, Joshua Gerard Cardiello was an active member6 of Gwinnett Church and North Point Community Church; and7 WHEREAS, he was united in love and marriage to his wife, Alliso n, and was blessed and8 proud to be the father of a remarkable daughter, Amelia; and9 WHEREAS, he gave inspiration to many through his strength, loyalty, generosity of spirit,10 and deep love for family, and the devotion, patience, and understanding he demonstrated to11 his family and friends were admired by others; and12 H. R. 1119 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0787 WHEREAS, Joshua Gerard Cardiello was a passionate advocate for youth heart screening13 to help prevent sudden cardiac arrest, and played an instrument al role in establishing a14 partnership with the organization Who We Play For, to provide f ree heart screening in15 Gwinnett County, where Joshua and his brother both attended high school; and16 WHEREAS, he was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation17 for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example he made of his life, he18 made this world a better place in which to live; and19 WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous man, Joshua Gerard Cardie llo will long be20 remembered for his love of family, friendship, and community and will be missed by all who21 had the great fortune of knowing him.22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that23 the members of this body join in honoring the life and memory of Joshua Gerard Cardiello24 and express their deepest and most sincere regret at his passing.25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized26 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the27 family of Joshua Gerard Cardiello.28 H.
