26 LC 46 1504S The House Committee on Health offers the following substitute to HB 1089: A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT To amend Article 3 of Chapter 13 of Title 16 of the Official Co de of Georgia Annotated,1 relating to dangerous drugs, so as to add an exception to the classification of ivermectin as2 a dangerous drug; to provide for related matters; to repeal con flicting laws; and for other3 purposes.4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:5 SECTION 1.6 Article 3 of Chapter 13 of Title 16 of the Official Code of Geo rgia Annotated, relating to7 dangerous drugs, is amended by revising paragraph (12.1) of subsection (c) of Code Section8 16-13-71, relating to dangerous drug, as follows:9 "(12.1) Ivermectin —10 (A) When used with a strength of 0.5 percent or less in a topical lotion; or11 (B) When distributed by a pharmacist as provided by the State Board of Pharmacy, as12 a product in finished dosage formulation in its original container that has been approved13 by and labeled in compliance with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA);"14 H.
