26 LC 129 0773 Senate Resolution 647 By: Senators Anderson of the 43rd, Harbison of the 15th, Mangham of the 55th, Sims of the 12th, James of the 28th and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and congratulating Dr. Veronica Bacote upon her appointment as Principal of1 Clements Middle School; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, Dr. Veronica Bacote has recently been appointed Principal of Clements Middle3 School, bringing more than three decades of experience and expertise; and 4 WHEREAS, she began her career in 1987 as a mathematics and soci al studies teacher in5 Newton County Schools and later served as an assistant principal in Jasper County Schools 6 and Gwinnett County Schools, before returning to Newton County in 2005 to serve in the7 same capacity at Newton High School; and8 WHEREAS, Dr. Veronica Bacote is dedicated to partnering with ed ucators, students,9 families, and community stakeholders to continue creating a saf e, inclusive, and10 high-achieving learning environment at Clements Middle School; and 11 WHEREAS, this distinguished gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high12 ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens, and she possesses the vast wisdom13 which only comes through experience and the strength of charact er which is achieved14 through overcoming the many challenges of life; and15 S. R. 647 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0773 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this16 remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body18 recognize and congratulate Dr. Veronica Bacote upon her appoint ment as Principal of19 Clements Middle School and extend their sincere best wishes for continued health,20 happiness, and success.21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed22 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for di stribution to Dr. Veronica23 Bacote. 24 S.
