26 LC 129 0743 Senate Resolution 646 By: Senator Kemp of the 38th A RESOLUTION Recognizing Mr. Fred Alexander Sr.; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Mr. Fred Alexander Sr. has defied extraordinary odds, courageously2 overcoming his more than 20-year long battle with cancer, the terrible disease that claimed3 the lives of his brothers, father, uncles, and grandfather; and4 WHEREAS, a man of deep and abiding faith, Mr. Fred Alexander Sr . is a proud member5 God’s Divine Grace Ministries and New Birth Baptist Church as well as previously served6 in leadership for more than a decade at Salem Bible Church; and7 WHEREAS, he is united in love and marriage to his outstanding wife, Pat, and together they8 have four remarkable children, 15 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren; and9 WHEREAS, now retired from a successful and fulfilling career in landscaping, electrical10 supply commercial driving, and mechanic work, Mr. Fred Alexander Sr. finds great joy in11 his favorite pastimes of collecting rare and antique cars as we ll as watching NHRA drag12 racing, baseball, basketball, and football; and13 S. R. 646 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0743 WHEREAS, reflecting a lifetime of hard work, passion, and craft smanship, Mr. Fred14 Alexander Sr. now enjoys working on his beloved 1946 Chevy pickup truck; and15 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper to recognize the o utstanding feat16 demonstrated by Mr. Fred Alexander Sr. in overcoming his battle with cancer.17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body18 recognize Mr. Fred Alexander Sr. And extend their most sincere best wishes for his19 continued health and happiness.20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed21 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for di stribution to Mr. Fred22 Alexander Sr.23 S.
