26 LC 129 0839 Senate Resolution 677 By: Senators Wicks of the 34th and Anderson of the 43rd A RESOLUTION Congratulating and commending Niki Vanderslice for receiving the 2026 Yellow Rose Nikki1 T. Randall Servant Leadership Award; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, in 1999, Representative Nikki T. Randall became the fi rst African American3 female elected to the General Assembly from middle Georgia, and over her 17 years of4 service as a legislator, she held numerous leadership positions, including chair of the Georgia5 Women's Legislative Caucus; and6 WHEREAS, every year during Women's History Month, the Georgia Women's Legislative7 Caucus recognizes outstanding women in Georgia who exemplify th e leadership and8 inspiration embodied by Representative Randall; and9 WHEREAS, Niki Vanderslice is a dedicated and passionate leader in community and10 economic development, currently serving as President and CEO of the Fayette County11 Development Authority in Georgia; and 12 WHEREAS, her career spans roles such as Executive Director of Business Development for13 the Technical College System of Georgia’s Quick Start program, Senior Community14 Development Consultant at Georgia EMC, Director of Governmental Relations at the15 S. R. 677 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0839 Georgia Department of Community Affairs, and Downtown Developme nt Director for16 Valdosta and Douglas, Georgia; and 17 WHEREAS, Niki Vanderslice is a woman of unassuming greatness whose humble acts of18 kindness and generosity have uplifted the entire Fayette County community; and19 WHEREAS, Niki Vanderslice has established a glowing reputation of renown throughout20 Georgia for her energy, devotion, and commitment to fostering s ustainable growth and21 enhancing the quality of life in Fayette County; and22 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this23 extraordinary servant leader be appropriately recognized.24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body25 congratulate and commend Niki Vanderslice for receiving the 2026 Yellow Rose Nikki T.26 Randall Servant Leadership Award and extend best wishes for her continued success.27 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed28 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Niki Vanderslice.29 S.
