26 LC 129 0801 Senate Resolution 675 By: Senators Wicks of the 34th, Davenport of the 17th, Parent of the 44th and Anderson of the 43rd A RESOLUTION Recognizing Eko Club Atlanta in celebration of 25 years of service; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, on March 27-29, 2026, Eko Club Atlanta (ECA) will cele brate 25 years of2 humanitarian, charitable, and community development efforts in both the state of Geogia and3 abroad; and 4 WHEREAS, Eko Club Atlanta is a nonprofit organization with 501( c)(3) status that has5 served communities in Georgia, other parts of the United States of America, Nigeria, Canada,6 and the United Kingdom for more than two decades through medical outreach, food security7 initiatives, educational support, and volunteer service; and8 WHEREAS, for over 25 years Eko Club Atlanta has supported causes through organizations9 such as Decatur MLK Service project, Atlanta Food Bank, Hosea F eed The Hungry,10 Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, among many other organization s in Georgia, including11 exporting medical outreach to Lagos, Nigeria, to help the most vulnerable members of the 12 communities; and13 S. R. 675 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0801 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this remarkab le organization be14 appropriately recognized for its outstanding contributions on b ehalf of the citizens of the15 state of Georgia.16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body17 recognize and commend Eko Club Atlanta upon its 25th anniversary and extend best wishes18 for continued growth and success.19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed20 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Eko Club Atlanta.21 S.
