A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending the Georgia Association of Community Care Providers; and1
for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, the Georgia Association of Community Care Providers (G ACCP) represents3
home and community-based service providers across the state of Georgia who deliver4
compassionate, high-quality care to individuals with disabiliti es, complex care needs, and5
aging populations; and6
WHEREAS, GACCP member providers deliver essential services through Medicaid waiver7
programs including, but not limited to, the ICWP, EDWP, NOW, an d COMP waivers,8
allowing individuals to receive personalized care in their homes and communities rather than9
in institutional settings; and10
WHEREAS, these providers serve communities throughout Georgia, with a significant11
number operating in underserved and rural areas where access to care is limited and12
community-based providers are often the primary source of suppo rt for individuals and13
families; and14

WHEREAS, home and community-based services promote independence , dignity, and15
quality of life by empowering individuals to remain connected t o their families,16
neighborhoods, and communities while receiving the care they need; and17
WHEREAS, these providers allow Georgians to live at home for as long as possible outside18
of institutional settings and therefore at great savings to taxpayers; and19
WHEREAS, the commitment, professionalism, and compassion of GACCP providers and20
their workforce are vital to maintaining a stable, accessible, and effective system of care that21
supports thousands of Georgians and their families each day.22
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that23
the members of this body recognize and commend the Georgia Association of Community24
Care Providers for its continued commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care25
to individuals with disabilities, complex care needs, and aging populations.26
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized27
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the28
Georgia Association of Community Care Providers.29
