26 LC 129 9004 House Resolution 1187 By: Representatives Burchett of the 176th and Corbett of the 174th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Community Supervision Officer Traci Whitaker, the1 Department of Community Supervision 2025 Officer of the Year; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, founded on the tenets of public safety and progress, t he Georgia Department3 of Community Supervision commenced operations on July 1, 2015, through the passage of4 House Bill 310; and5 WHEREAS, Community Supervision Officer Traci Whitaker has honorably served the State6 of Georgia for eleven years and has shown herself to be an outstanding embodiment of the7 Department’s core values of selfless service, accountability, i ntegrity, teamwork, and8 professional development; and9 WHEREAS, Officer Whitaker routinely goes above and beyond to pr ovide efficient,10 effective, selfless, and dedicated service to her coworkers and the State of Georgia; and11 WHEREAS, Officer Whitaker's commitment to public safety while h elping create12 opportunities for successful outcomes for the individuals she supervises serves as an example13 for her fellow officers; and14 H. R. 1187 - 1 - 26 LC 129 9004 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this15 remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that17 the members of this body recognize and commend Community Superv ision Officer Traci18 Whitaker on being named the Department of Community Supervision’s 2025 Officer of the19 Year.20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized21 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to22 Community Supervision Officer Traci Whitaker.23 H.
