26 LC 129 0677 House Resolution 1181 By: Representatives Petrea of the 166th, Hitchens of the 161st, Jones of the 47th, Lumsden of the 12th, and Cannon of the 172nd A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending the Georgia State Society National S ociety Children of the1 American Revolution in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United2 State of America; and for other purposes.3 WHEREAS, the year 2026 will mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration4 of Independence, a pivotal moment in the establishment of the U nited States as a free and5 independent nation; and6 WHEREAS, the National Society Children of the American Revolution, founded in 1895,7 is a patriotic youth organization dedicated to training good citizens, developing leaders, and8 promoting love of the United States of America and its heritage among young people; and9 WHEREAS, Georgia State Society National Society Children of the American Revolution10 (G.S.S.N.S.C.A.R) has served since 1936 as a vital institution for instilling in the youth of11 Georgia a deep appreciation for our nation’s history, the sacrifices of our Founding Fathers,12 and the enduring principals of liberty, justice, and democracy; and13 WHEREAS, as the United States of America approaches this histor ic milestone,14 G.S.S.N.S.C.A.R continues to lead meaningful initiatives and ed ucational programs that15 H. R. 1181 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0677 honor the legacy of the American Revolution and promote civic engagement among the next16 generation of leaders; and17 WHEREAS, the members and leadership of G.S.S.N.S.C.A.R, through their volunteerism,18 historical preservation efforts, and public service, exemplify the highest ideals of patriotism19 and contribute to the enrichment of Georgia’s civic and historical landscape; and20 WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper to honor this distinguished organization for its ongoing21 commitment to the principals upon which our nation was founded, especially during this22 significant anniversary of our country’s birth.23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that24 the members of this body recognize and commend the Georgia Stat e Society National25 Society Children of the American Revolution for its outstanding contributions to the26 education and patriotic development of Georgia’s youth, and extend their sincere best wishes27 for continued success as the nation celebrates the 250th anniversary of the United States of28 America.29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized30 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the31 Georgia State Society National Society Children of the American Revolution.32 H.
