26 LC 129 0811 House Resolution 1183 By: Representatives Bell of the 75th, Neal of the 79th, Douglas of the 78th, Burnough of the 77th, Flournoy of the 74th, and others A RESOLUTION Commending the Clayton County Chamber of Commerce and recognizing February 5, 2026,1 as Clayton Chamber Day at the state capitol; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Clayton County Chamber of Commerce, founded in 195 3, is a3 member-based nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting business growth and enhancing4 the quality of life through economic prosperity; and 5 WHEREAS, the Clayton County Chamber of Commerce unites business and professional6 individuals by empowering local g rowth, improving business to b usiness networking and7 helping to strengthen our community; and8 WHEREAS, the Clayton County Chamber of Commerce continues to provide leadership and9 educational opportunities with their program, Leadership Clayton, a leadership development10 program established in 1972 that has engaged over 1000 emerging and existing leaders in a11 ten-month program that broadens their knowledge of community is sues, sharpens their12 leadership skills, and challenges themselves and others to seek solutions to those issues13 affecting our communities; and14 H. R. 1183 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0811 WHEREAS, Chamber members are invited to participate each year in the Clayton County15 Chamber of Commerce Day at the state capitol to meet with our s tate leaders during the16 legislative session, discuss legislative priorities that are important to their business and the17 County as well as see our state government in action.18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that19 the members of this body commend the Clayton County Chamber of Commerce on their20 distinguished leadership and recognize February 5, 2026, as Cla yton Chamber Day at the21 state capitol.22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized23 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the24 Clayton County Chamber of Commerce.25 H.
