26 LC 129 0865 Senate Resolution 688 By: Senators Burns of the 23rd and Anderson of the 24th A RESOLUTION Congratulating the City of Wadley upon its 150th anniversary; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, on February 21, 2026, the City of Wadley will celebrate its 150th anniversary;2 and 3 WHEREAS, this historic milestone provides an opportunity to hon or the residents,4 employees, volunteers, and leaders who have shaped the City of Wadley; and5 WHEREAS, originally known as Shake Rag, the City of Wadley has served its citizens with6 compassion, integrity, and respect since 1876; and7 WHEREAS, the city developed as a railroad town and has remained a resilient and close-knit8 community through generations of growth, change, and service; and9 WHEREAS, this anniversary not only recognizes the past, but reaffirms the City of Wadley's10 commitment to a vibrant future.11 S.
