26 LC 129 0796 Senate Resolution 699 By: Senators Burns of the 23rd, Williams of the 25th, Payne of the 54th, Howard of the 35th, Harrell of the 40th and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Noelia Sargento; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Noelia Sargento is the state recipient of the Technica l College System of2 Georgia's 2025 Exceptional Adult Georgian in Literacy Education (EAGLE) award, which3 recognizes adult learners in pursuit of excellence; and 4 WHEREAS, EAGLE celebrates and recognizes adult learners from across the state who have5 demonstrated exceptional achievement in adult education classes; and6 WHEREAS, for 32 years, the EAGLE program has created a greater awareness of7 educational opportunities available in local communities across the state and has fostered8 involvement in lifelong learning pursuits; and9 WHEREAS, Ms. Sargento was selected from among 25 EAGLE delegates who demonstrated10 excellent academic achievements within their local adult education program; and 11 WHEREAS, Ms. Sargento will serve as an ambassador for adult edu cation in Georgia,12 representing nearly 22,000 students who benefit from adult education programs throughout13 the state; and14 S. R. 699 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0796 WHEREAS, in pursuing her education, Ms. Sargento has brought ho nor to herself, her15 family, Geoergia Northwestern Technical College and the entire Technical College System16 of Georgia, which she represents as Georgia's exceptional adult education student for 2025.17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body18 commend and congratulate Noelia Sargento for her exceptional education achievements and19 efforts to promote adult education in Georgia.20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed21 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Noelia Sargento.22 S.
