A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and congratulating SkillsUSA Georgia; and for other purposes.1
WHEREAS, SkillsUSA is a national nonprofit organization serving students preparing for2
careers in trade, technical, skilled service, and professional occupations; and 3
WHEREAS, SkillsUSA Georgia is the chartered state association r epresenting the4
organization across the State of Georgia; and5
WHEREAS, SkillsUSA Georgia supports career, technical, and agri cultural education by6
empowering students to become career-ready leaders through hands-on learning, leadership7
development, and the application of academic and technical skills; and8
WHEREAS, SkillsUSA Georgia proudly serves 11,496 middle and high school members and9
1,301 college and postsecondary members, totaling 12,797 members statewide; and10
WHEREAS, during the 2025-2026 school year, SkillsUSA Georgia ac hieved11
record-breaking membership growth, reflecting the increasing demand for high-quality career12
and technical education pathways across the state; and13

WHEREAS, this milestone demonstrates a strong commitment to pre paring students for14
high-skill, high-wage, and in-demand careers while strengthening Georgia's workforce and15
economy; and16
WHEREAS, the continued success of SkillsUSA Georgia is made pos sible through the17
dedication of educators, administrators, industry partners, and community supporters who18
provide equitable access to meaningful career and technical education opportunities.19
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that20
the members of this body recognize and congratulate SkillsUSA G eorgia on achieving21
record-breaking statewide membership and commend the organizati on for its outstanding22
contributions to education, workforce development, and student leadership across the State23
of Georgia.24
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized25
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to26
SkillsUSA Georgia.27
