26 LC 129 0948 House Resolution 1226 By: Representative Stephens of the 164th A RESOLUTION Honoring the life and memory of Sandra A. Collins; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens2 with the passing of Sandra A. Collins; and3 WHEREAS, a woman of deep and abiding faith, Sandra was an active, life-long member of4 St. Philip Monumental A.M.E. Church; and5 WHEREAS, she gave inspiration to many through her high ideals, morals, and deep concern6 for her fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, and unders tanding she demonstrated to7 her family and friends were admired by others; and8 WHEREAS, Sandra was actively involved in her community, devoting her time and talents9 to causes important to her on the boards of the Georgia Association for Primary Health Care,10 Inc.; Savannah Branch NAACP; and the Savannah Chapter American Business Women’s11 Association; and12 H. R. 1226 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0948 WHEREAS, she was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation13 for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example she made of her life,14 she made this world a better place in which to live; and15 WHEREAS, Sandra was known for her love of travel; she visited s ix out of the seven16 continents and 45 out of 50 states; and 17 WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous woman, Sandra will long be remembered for her18 love of family, friendship, and community and will be missed by all who had the great19 fortune of knowing her.20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that21 the members of this body join in honoring the life and memory o f Sandra A. Collins and22 express their deepest and most sincere regret at her passing.23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized24 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the25 family of Sandra A.
