26 LC 129 0954 House Resolution 1264 By: Representatives New of the 40th, Alexander of the 66th, and Baker of the 64th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Joanne Celeste Landrigan Gardner; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, affectionately known as MAGA to those who know and lov e her, Joanne2 Celeste Landrigan Gardner consistently demonstrates integrity, compassion, faith, and3 leadership in both her words and actions; and4 WHEREAS, Joanne was united in love and marriage to Jack Otto Gardner on April 19, 1952,5 and together they established a life of shared purpose in Douglasville, Georgia; and6 WHEREAS, the devotion, patience, and understanding she has demonstrated has provided7 the foundation and framework of success from which all of her f amily members have8 developed and flourished; and9 WHEREAS, Joanne is blessed with 13 children, 39 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren,10 and four great-great-grandchildren; and11 WHEREAS, a woman of deep and abiding faith, Joanne opens her home, the Benton House,12 to bible lessons, passionately uplifting and teaching the Word of God; and13 H. R. 1264 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0954 WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for14 integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and15 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this remarkab le and distinguished16 Georgian be appropriately recognized.17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that18 the members of this body recognize and commend Joanne Celeste Landrigan Gardner and19 extend their sincere best wishes for her continued health and happiness.20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized21 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to22 Joanne Celeste Landrigan Gardner.23 H.
