Neal on the occasion of his 18th pastoral1 anniversary; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, Reverend Corey J. Neal has demonstrated his commitmen t to teaching the3 Gospel, witnessing Christ through word and deed, and addressing the physical,4 psychological, intellectual, and spiritual needs of others; and5 WHEREAS, Reverend Neal's spiritual journey began as a child at New Life Assembly6 Church in Wrightstown, New Jersey; and7 WHEREAS, before being called as the senior pastor of Greater Pe ace Baptist Church,8 Reverend Neal was Director of Christian Education, Youth Pastor, and Assistant Pastor at9 Greater Peace Baptist Church under his grandfather, Reverend E. L. Sullivan; and10 WHEREAS, on February 8, 2026, Reverend Neal will celebrate the 18th anniversary of his11 call to serve as Reverend of Greater Peace Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia; and12 H. R. 1268 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0910 WHEREAS, his vision and direction have helped Greater Peace Baptist Church grow in size13 and influence, uplifting the community like the light of Bethlehem and serving as a spiritual14 leader and place for fellowship; and15 WHEREAS, whether the task is preparing a sermon, visiting the s ick, counseling the16 troubled, baptizing a new believer, or acting as a theologian, educator, administrator, or17 humanitarian, Reverend Neal serves as a shining example of God's righteous path; and18 WHEREAS, the unmatched spiritual assistance offered by Reverend Neal is a source of19 strength and direction for persons in all walks of life; and20 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this enduring example of God's message21 of peace and love be recognized and congratulated for his innumerable good works rendered22 on behalf of persons in need.23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that24 the members of this body recognize and commend Reverend Corey J. Neal on the wonderful25 occasion of his 18th pastoral anniversary and extend best wishe s for many more years of26 successful fellowship and leadership.27 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized28 and directed to make an appr opriate copy of t his resolution ava ilable for distribution to29 Reverend Corey J.
