26 LC 129 0965 House Resolution 1248 By: Representatives Berry of the 56th, Bell of the 75th, Carter of the 93rd, Cannon of the 58th, and Holly of the 116th A RESOLUTION Honoring the work of Lifting Our Voices, Inc., and recognizing February 28, 2026, as LOV1 Day; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, Lifting Our Voices, Inc., (LOV) is a non-profit organi zation with the goal of3 combating social and economic issues in Georgia's most vulnerab le populations through4 need-based service projects; and5 WHEREAS, Morehouse College graduate Noah McQueen found LOV with a mission to6 uplift and empower communities through love, service, and leadership; and7 WHEREAS, under McQueen’s leadership, the organization has grown from a student-led8 initiative into a multi-state movement tackling food insecurity and empowering youth9 through programs like the AUC Sandwich Run, toiletry drives, Co ver the Hood Clothing10 Drive, and voter registration efforts; and11 WHEREAS, LOV has distributed more than 80,000 meals across 8 ma jor cities to those12 experiencing food insecurity, registered more than 450 voters o ver the last two election13 cycles, and collected and dispersed more 15,000 clothing and toiletries items to those in need14 through their seasonal supply drives; and15 H. R. 1248 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0965 WHEREAS, with a passionate vision for change and philanthropy, LOV has left an indelible16 impact on underserved populations in the State of Georgia.17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that18 the members of this body honor the work of Lifting Our Voices, Inc., and recognize February19 28, 2026, as LOV Day.20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized21 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to22 Lifting Our Voices, Inc.23 H.
