26 LC 129 0756 Senate Resolution 709 By: Senators Jones of the 10th, Wicks of the 34th, Orrock of the 36th, Jackson of the 41st, Anderson of the 43rd and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Christopher M. Lazzara; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Christopher M. Lazzara has established a glowing reput ation throughout the2 state of Georgia as a passionate and dedicated entrepreneur, philanthropist, and community3 leader; and4 WHEREAS, Christopher Lazzara founded MountainStar Partners in 2 013, and as Chief5 Executive Officer, he diligently leads the firm’s investment committee, directs investment6 strategy, and continues to oversee all major initiatives for the company and its subsidiaries;7 and8 WHEREAS, in addition to overseeing the growth and success of Mo untainStar Partners,9 Christopher Lazzara also co-founded the Georgia School of Orthodontics, in 2016, with his10 father, Dr. Gasper Lazzara; and11 WHEREAS, he is a permanent member of the Executive Committee of the Georgia School12 of Orthodontics’ Board of Trustees and serves as Chair of the School’s Finance and Facilities13 Committees; and14 S. R. 709 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0756 WHEREAS, Christopher Lazzara has proudly served in leadership with various prestigious15 organizations including the MaliVai Washington Youth Foundation, the University of North16 Florida, the Lazzara Family Foundation, the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville, and17 the American Cancer Society; and18 WHEREAS, in response to his 6-month-old daughter experiencing symptoms of an rare and19 incurable pediatric disease, Christopher Lazzara founded the Isa Elaine Foundation which20 is committed to sharing research, clinical application, and financial resources to help other21 patients experiencing similar challenges; and22 WHEREAS, Christopher Lazzara is a person of magnanimous strengt hs with an23 unimpeachable reputation for dedicated leadership, integrity, i ntelligence, fairness, and24 kindness. 25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body26 recognize and commend Christopher M. Lazzara and extend their sincere best wishes for his27 continued health, happiness, and success.28 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed29 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Christopher M.30 Lazzara.31 S.
