26 LC 129 0959 House Resolution 1278 By: Representatives Seabaugh of the 34th, Cooper of the 45th, Gullett of the 19th, Parsons of the 44th, Ehrhart of the 36th, and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and congratulating Annabelle Tidmore, Miss Cobb Cou nty's Teen 2026; and1 for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, Annabelle Tidmore won the title of Miss Cobb County's Teen 2026 at the3 annual Miss Cobb County's teen Scholarship Competition; and4 WHEREAS, in June, Annabelle will represent Cobb County in the M iss Georgia's Teen5 Competition in Columbus, Georgia, where she will have the opportunity to advance to the6 Miss America's Teen Competition; and7 WHEREAS, in recognition of her exemplary performance, she was a w a r d e d t h e S u s a n8 McGary Scholarship, the Steve Duncan Scholarship, the Renee Fie lden Evening Gown9 Scholarship, and the Denise Larson Talent Scholarship; and10 WHEREAS, Annabelle is a high school freshman at the Liberty Un iversity Online11 Academy, where she excels in academics with a 4.0 GPA; and12 WHEREAS, she is an active supporter of the American Heart Assoc iation and the Best13 Buddies Program, served as a Page for the Georgia House of Repr esentatives, is a Cobb14 H. R. 1278 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0959 County Youth Commissioner, and is President of her school's chapter of the national Beta15 Club; and16 WHEREAS, Annabelle is a passionate advocate for her Community Service Initiative: Text17 Later Drive Safer, and is the founder of Annabelle's Text Free Tuesday; and 18 WHEREAS, Annabelle brings great pride to herself, her family, Cobb County, and the State19 of Georgia; and 20 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper to honor the remarkable achievements of this21 outstanding young Georgian. 22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that23 the members of this body recognize Annabelle Tidmore, congratul ate her upon winning 24 Miss Cobb County's Teen 2026, and extend their sincere best wis hes for her continued25 health, happiness, and success.26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized27 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to28 Annabelle Tidmore. 29 H.
