26 LC 129 0992 Senate Resolution 719 By: Senators Anderson of the 43rd, Wicks of the 34th, Harbison of the 15th, Rhett of the 33rd, Davenport of the 17th and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Catherine Hardrick; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Catherine "Cat" Hardrick is a disabled United States Army veteran whose life2 and leadership reflect extraordinary resilience, courage, and an unwavering commitment to3 service; and 4 WHEREAS, Catherine served over 5 years in the United States Arm y as a 71L5 Administrative Specialist, providing mission critical personnel and operational support to6 military leadership, safeguarding sensitive personnel records, supporting command7 operations, and helping ensure unit readiness and mission effectiveness; and8 WHEREAS, during her military service, Catherine served in the h istoric Operation Just9 Cause in Panama, supporting United States military operations f ocused on protecting10 American citizens, restoring democratic governance, and maintaining regional security; and11 WHEREAS, through strength, faith, and perseverance, Catherine transformed her personal12 experience as a survivor of military sexual trauma into purpose, using her voice to support13 fellow veterans, advocate for trauma informed care, and help re move stigma surrounding14 military sexual trauma; and15 S. R. 719 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0992 WHEREAS, following her military service, Catherine built a distinguished career of more16 than 20 years in the finance industry, serving in roles includi ng treasury analyst, mutual17 funds trading specialist, and executive level administrative le adership supporting senior18 executives in both the banking and corporate consulting sectors; and19 WHEREAS, Catherine continues her service through public leaders hip and community20 impact as a newly elected Snellville City councilmember and the founder and CEO of21 Journey Within, LLC; and22 WHEREAS, Catherine’s service and leadership have earned regional recognition, including23 the prestigious Yellow Ribbon Award for Women Impacting the Community, and her role24 in helping champion the Women Veterans Day Proclamation in Gwinnett County; and25 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this extraord inary Georgian be26 appropriately honored.27 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body28 recognize and commend Catherine Hardrick for her leadership, advocacy, and unwavering29 commitment to others.30 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed31 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for di stribution to Catherine32 Hardrick.33 S.
